Ararat Mirzoyan

Since August 19, 2021, H.E. Ararat Mirzoyan is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2000, he graduated from the Faculty of History of the Yerevan State University with Bachelor’s Degree. In 2002, he received a Master’s Degree. In 2004 he graduated from the State Management Academy of the Republic of Armenia receiving a specialization in Public Administration and Local self-government. He holds a PhD in History from the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

Alice Wairimu Nderitu of Kenya is the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide. Ms. Nderitu is a recognized voice in the field of peacebuilding and violence prevention, having led as mediator and senior adviser in reconciliation processes.  She served as Commissioner of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission in Kenya, as well as Founding Member and co-Chair of the Uwiano Platform for Peace, a prevention agency linking early warning to early response.  She was also one of the founders of Community Voices for Peace and Pluralism, a network of African women professionals preventing, transforming and solving violent, ethnic, racial and religious conflicts

Professor O’Brien’s research examines the connection between human rights and the genocide process; and sexual and gender-based crimes against women in atrocities.More

Ambassador Federico Villegas is a lawyer and career diplomat. He entered the foreign service of Argentina with honours in 1993. He was appointed Permanent Representative of Argentina to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva in March 2020, after having been Ambassador of Argentina in Mozambique since 2016, where he opened the Embassy of Argentina. In Argentina, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was twice Director General of Human Rights (2005–2007 and 2012–2015).

Fabián Salvioli (Argentina) is a human rights lawyer and professor. He has lectured in many countries and universities across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. Mr. Salvioli has authored several books and articles on international human rights law. He was member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee between 2009 and 2016, and its President between 2015 and 2016. Mr. Salvioli served twice as member and three times as president of Ad-Hoc Arbitration Courts on Monetary Reparations, within the Friendly Settlement Mechanism of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. In May 2018, he was appointed as UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-recurrence.
