Fourth Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide

On December 13, the 4th Global Forum “Against the Crime of Genocide” organized by the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, dedicated to genocide prevention issues in the era of new technologies, continued its work in Yerevan.

The second day of the Fourth Global Forum commenced with the third panel discussion, entitled “New Technologies and Protection of Cultural Heritage in the Context of Genocide Prevention and Post-Genocide Rehabilitation”.

Afterwards, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vahe Gevorgyan delivered closing remarks followed by the adoption of the “Declaration on Joint Action”.

The event also included the presentation of the book “From Discrimination To Death”, attended by Alice Wairimu Nderitu, the UN Under-Secretary-General and UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Nicholas Koumjian, the Head of the UN Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar, Melanie O’Brien (author of the book), the President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS).
